Last fall we donated two northern red oak trees to the Township of River Vale in Dave’s memory. We have since placed a granite plaque by each tree. One plaque is engraved with Dave’s “Wind Chimes” poem while the other simply introduces Dave.
The next time you’re in town, stop by. They are on Westwood Avenue in front of the stores. Forcellati Nursery donated and planted the flowers around each tree. They really look very pretty.

Ken, Angela a Zoe placed flowers at the memorial on the 17th. They told Zoe all about her Uncle Dave and all the fun we had had together over the years. Ken said it was beautiful.
Dave lives on in so many hearts. Memories help to sustain us. He touched more lives then anyone could have imagined.
He is loved and missed.

I knew Dave from the days of elementary school at Zion Lutheran.
I lived around the corner from Rob and Dave in River Vale and also went to high school with them.
I’m coming across this site about a year after his passing and it’s coming to me as a total shock.
Dave was always smiling, I don’t think I ever saw him in a negative light. There should be more people like him in the world today.
My thoughts are with your family.

Every few months, when I come home to visit my family living in Hillsdale, I go jogging. The trees are at about the halfway point of my 4 mile jog- which makes getting to them a piece of cake, as I can hardly wait to see them and think about how special Dave is. I run by, I say hello, and then finish up my run in his honor. It is something that I really look forward to doing! To me they are not just a physical landmark – but a spiritual landmark of Dave’s life and the lives of his family and friends.

I was Dave’s Suite Mate in the Air Force. I had not heard from him in a long time and decided to see if we could get back in touch a few month ago and found the article in the Denver paper. When someone like Dave or Remy, as we called him, comes into your life he leaves a big imprint on your heart.
I will miss my friend.
